Isabella holds a licentiate in law and has been lecturing for Kluwer for several years now. After a few temporary contracts with the government, such as the Rijksdienst voor Arbeidsvoorziening [National Employment Service] and the then Ministerie van Tewerkstelling en Arbeid [Ministry of Labour and Employment], she started in 1982 as the social legislation adviser for the largest trusteeship in Belgium.

After a good 13 years she made the move to Ernst & Young, where she managed the Brussels department of the first social secretariat before moving over to Ernst & Young Tax Consultants in 1997.

On 12 April 1999 she took the oath of attorney in Brussels, where she joined Peeters Advocaten.

On 1 October 2004 she joined the Antwerp bar and went to work for Laurius Advocaten before setting up her own office, Questa Advocaten, with several other lawyers in early 2006.

Throughout the years she has maintained an interest in all aspects of social legislation. This has given her vast experience of the subject in the broadest sense: labour law (individual and collective) and social security legislation. She is well versed in collective labour law and her special interests include company transfers and outsourcing, collective redundancies and business closures, and collective negotiations in the corporate environment.

Isabella’s knowledge is more than theoretical; it is based on experience and this brings her extremely close to personnel management whom she is able to advise and assist.
