Koenraad Aerts obtained his law degree in 1995 at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and a Master in International Law at the University of Lund (Sweden) as well as diplomas in Comparative Law at the University of Strasbourg (France) and in Warsaw (Humanitarian Law ICRC), followed by a special degree (LLM) in Business Law at the University of Antwerp.

Koenraad's specialities are business law and commercial and civil litigation.

He is a member of the Brussels Bar Association since 1995. After having been a trainee and associate lawyer at the international law firms CMS and Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, he joined the firm Peeters advocaten (Ernst & Young), and continued with his own law firm in Brussels, with a predominantly Scandinavian clientèle.

His main publication is in the field of liability of company auditors (Larcier, 199 pages).
